Dynamo Kiev was not expected to provide the kind of resistance they showed last night at Nou Camp in the Champions League encounter with the regining Champions but the Holders came through with a goal in both halves thanks to Messi and the Newcomer Pedro. Dynamo played a typical game against Barca by having as many men as possible behind the ball when Barca were in possession and then trying to hit us on the counter from time to time. Led by the Legendry but at the end of an illustrious career, Sheva, Dynamo had more than their fair share of chances in this game and Barca kept their noses ahead thanks only to the precision shown on 2 occasions by Messi and Pedro.

La Rosaleda, Malaga
The fortunes of Barcelona and Malaga could not have been more contrasting coming into Week 5 of La Liga. Malaga has lost their last 3 games. Barcelona on the other hand has swept away the 4 teams before them scoring 14 Goals on the way. La Rosaleda is an arena that will be fondly remembered by Barça from last season because it was there that Pep Guardiola’s side chalked up a convincing 1-4 win to move to the top of the table for the first time. Last November the team ignored the pouring rain and difficult conditions to overwhelm their Andalucian host to move into first place and they remained their for the rest of the campaign.

La Liga. 4 Games. 4 Victories. 14 Goals. I think it says it all. Barcelona waltzed to another superb victory against Racing Santander at El Sardinero as Ibra, Messi(2) and Gerad Pique found the back of the net. Barcelona were comfortably up by 3 goals by the time half time, a half that saw total domination on our part. We had discussed the vulnerable Racing defense in our Match Review and all of their fears came true. This victory will surely put a lot of pressure on the chasing pack especially Madrid who have a tricky encounter against Villareal tonight where Manuel Pellegrini faces his old side for the first time. Matches are coming in thick and fast for the Blaugrana right now! After the demolition of Atletico Madrid at the Camp Nou on Saturday night, Barcelona now travel to El Sardinero to face Racing Santander. Racing to their credit were one of the few clubs last year to take points away from Barcelona as they drew 1-1 at home but going down 2-1 after the lead at Camp Nou. Messi that night had come of the bench to grab a brace and win the game for us. Now he would surely be looking for a repeat performance from the weekend when he scored a brace against Atletico.

Kick-off: Saturday, September 19 2009, 22:00 CET
Camp Nou, Barcelona
We all remember the 2 great matches between Barca and Atletico Madrid last year. And how we would want a repeat from Last year’s game at the Nou Camp when Barca thrashed the team from Madrid 6-1. The return match was enthralling too but we ended up losing 3-4 that night at Vicente Calderon when Sergio Aguero scored a last minute winner. But things have changed a lot from that night. Barcelona went on to win the Historic Treble and have got off to a flying start in the La Liga whereas Atletico is struggling hard to find its feet again. They have been out of from for sometime now which might get exposed terribly at the Nou Camp come Saturday night.
